Sedation Dentistry

Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry in South Texas

Keeping patients as comfortable as possible during general or cosmetic dentistry treatment at our South Texas office is one of Dr. Gonzalez’s top priorities. Dr. Gonzalez believes that the best way to achieve a high level of dental health is by preventing problems before they happen, and the best way to prevent these problems is with regular visits to the dentist. By making patients feel comfortable at his office, Dr. Gonzalez knows he’s taking the first step towards reducing the anxiety they feel about coming to the dentist, which in turn is the first step towards getting patients to schedule regular check ups.

Offering sedation for general and cosmetic dentistry visits to our South Texas office is just one of the ways Dr. Gonzalez has proved himself uniquely capable of making your visit as pleasant as possible. We’ve included some frequently asked questions about sedation dentistry below. Read on, or call our office if you’d like to learn more.

Q: What is sedation dentistry?

A: Sedation dentistry is a visit to the dentist in which you are given a small pill to take an hour before your dental appointment. By the time you arrive in the office, you will be very drowsy. Our staff will escort you to the comfort room, cover you with a blanket, and make you feel as comfortable as possible. Once you’re situated, Dr. Gonzalez will take care of all your general or cosmetic dentistry needs at our South Texas office. When you wake up a few hours later, you’ll have had complete dental care without having felt a thing.
